OCTOBER!!!!
BLESS BE THE LORD WHO GIRDLES MY LIONS FOR SERVICE...AND STRENGTHEN MY HAND TO WORK....

It's been work work work all the way....
It began on such a beautiful note...........

...October began with Akure.....
It was my first trip to the place.

FUTA SOUTH GATE
Pastor Afo wanted xerxes and i to come to Akure for *the most high God* monthly meeting....
Even though the idea come totally impromptu,i agreed to go on probability.i had only sent pastor Afo a text after such a long time to greet him concerning his wedding which was just in 9 days at the time. {*coughing*...it was all xerxes' idea to send him a text before his wedding}.
Inside FUTA!!!
He had replied and demanded i come to Akure. I finally decided to take the trip. After all, a little adventure can't be too painful. Especially one that is towards a spiritual gathering and edification.
And again xerxes was coming too!
The Senate building

Even though we arrived in the evening while the evening session had began,qe met quite a ample of words...and it was a very cold evening in Akure.
The place was literally around FUTA south gate.
Daddy and mummy Ogundare gave me a very warm welcome afterwards as we went for dinner at their place with a number of others...
Hello FUTA!!!
A warm and comfortable rooms was prepared for me at a married corper's house( her husband and pastor Afo were friends). Xerxes was with pastor Afo.
Xerxes took me into FUTA(federal university of technology, Akure) the following afternoon after the morning session..
Truth is I enjoyed my two nights in Akure. It was fun to be in another state and in another university environment either Xerxes.....

...HadassaH & The Afao community leaders...
My PPA is shared by three communities.
ARE-AFAO-ARAROMI.
The first time I visited the Alafo at his palace to inform him of my intention to embark on a community project.
Infront of the community meeting
when we arrived as the meeting had been on before we arrived.one of the chief layer invited us in and I was asked to address the chiefs and all the community leaders.
It was a gathering of elderly people...like my grannies!!!
Many white hairs, brown and missing teeth but feisty eyes..
Some of the community leaders
I had to talk all the yoruba i knew and slot in some English when my yoruba words vocabulary wasn't forth coming...
They all smiled at my struggling yoruba vocabulary.
They were permitted to ask me questions.
Addressing the community leaders
The chief photo bombed my picture!!
And finally that asked what I wanted them to help with
*The reconstruction of the water system *

..*My Coperate Teacher Bears My Name*..
Her name is Miss Bolanle Olowomeye.
I believe this also is one of the hand of the lord in leading me to Ekiti to confirm so many of his promises to me even in this very place!!!
She is young and wonderful.
She is a deep lover of God and i have come to enjoy her company so much as she shares depth with me...again the lord has blessed me with a companion in Zion...
Setting up the nursery!!
I have been greatly blessed by her words and experiences.it's a joy to come to work daily as i look forward to the smile of a companion who shares your spiritual believes and desires...
I wish to say more about her...but not now!!!

....HadassaH :The Horticulturist!!!.....
Part of my project is beautification of the school premises...so I have embarked on planting almost 2000 flowers.
Still working!!!
Yes 2000 flowers!
I thank God for having leh
arned how to plant flowers in a nursery...so I requested that the students submit pure water nylons with loamy soil in it...
So for the past two weeks I have been busy setting up a flower nursery to nurse grow them.
Teaching the students
What type to leave stalk to
Plant in a nursery
Boy! It's been work but I do enjoy it...
I also have come to learn a lot of wisdom in this past few weeks...
The Jss 1 students were more easy to coordinate and they responded to the submission of pure water nylons better than the seniors.
Even though I had a handful of the senior students who have been very helpful In preparing the nursery and sheds...
Fetching water and wetting the nursery beds is great work...but God has blessed me with a lot of interested students.
I have become the an horticulturist in two weeks...teaching the kids how to plant flowers....
Planting the flowers in the nursery
With the students
I
The rigorous part of the set up is gradually asking away as the kids are now familiar with what to do with just minimum supervision....
I was gradually making progress!!!!

........A new LGI!!!!......
LGI-local government inspector...
I had thought I would be working with mrs Afolabi. She has been very encouraging, motherly and warm. I had been concerned when she announced to us that she had been replaced...i had been concerned..
A part of the nursery
I have been looking forward to working with her.Ididn't know if the new LGI would be easy to work it.
Xerxes had shifted my attention to a greater good....
*i believe the new LGI is the best man for you to work with*...
I was encouraged even though he advised me to keep in touch with the former LGI...
One of the student wetting
The flower nursery
The new LGI is young...Yes Young!
And Muslim...Mr Ismail Olofintuabu!!!
He sounds quite firm but cool...
And he has been encouraging too...
I guess he is the best man for the job afterall....

BATCH C finally POPPED out of NYSC
Are/Afao NCCF has its major members in the batch C corper members..with them gone, the fellowship has been very scanty physically....but not without the presence of the cloud of witnesses and the host of Zion...
Some of are/afao batch C corper members.
We all gathered together last Wednesday to celebrate the batch C corpers of ARE / AFAO at corper Ezekiel( the former papa's hosuse). And it was a beautiful gathering of feasting.
We already miss them!!!

More Flower species!!!....more!!!
Counsel in the heart of a minute is like deep waters...a man of understanding will draw it out!!!!
Such it the case here with this flower business of mine....
Teaching the Jss1 students
How to plant a flower!
I have been taken up new species to add to the nursery so we can have diversity....
And I have been working daily with the enormous help of the students and the the encouraging words of my cooperate teacher, Miss Olowomeye!!!
I have even infected her with planting flowers for her church.

...My August Allowee finally get unclogged.....
There had been a problem with my allowee when I relocated July...and I didn't get allowee for august and September....
A visit to fajuyi memorial park
Ado-Ekiti
And I had complained about it several times to no avail...
Until when I finally got to the root of the matter.the account number I had written down was Eco Bank which was opened for us at *Borno-in-nasarawa* orientation camhp...
But it has been recorded as union bank in Ekiti. So officially the account number was wrong!
Today after so many inquiries, i was called to the state secretariat and paid my august allowee in cash with an advice to wait for the arrival of my September allowee...
*somebody is smiling*....it sure felt good to finally be paid!!!
Teaching the senior students
