UnDer the RAIN....and in the SUN!

Double up!!!..or I will soak you!

That's how we hurried down to the parade ground again this evening!
It was the third parade of the day...!

We were having our swearing-in rehearsals!

Doing a lot of *Hip! Hip! Hip!...Hurray!
It was a long rehearsal...and our legs were hurting! Hurting so bad I pulled my shoes!
And otondos were getting punished....they were getting soaked...not in the rain!
When you get soaked, you are ordered to sit in muddy dirty water with your white short!

It rained during the long parade rehearsal and the downpour was on our heads!!!....

*we dare not complain!

When we were eventually released! It was difficult to walk let alone double up...my ankles were about to give way!
I was shivering from the cold of the rain!..

My white tennis were soiled! I had to wash while others went to queue for dinner!

Water wasn't running for a while today! So everyone wanted to fetch water for keeps! So the line was an enduring long one!

I still had to get to mami market to iron my khaki and get my charging phones!
............plus I was hungry!

*Excitement is an Assassin of my Sleep!*

I didn't get a wink of sleep last night!
Everyone in my room seem to get atleast a quick nap except for me

Xerxes said it was *excitment*!
Well I don't seem excited jor!....but I guess my subconscious was!...even when I don't appear excited!...an unseen part of me was! And the first proof of that was insomnia!

I made a good use of the sleeplessness!

Glo Network on my bed was surprisingly fairly good at midnight!

I even went to mami market around 2am to get the battery i had submitted to be charged!
The battery in my phone was flat!...(atleast the charging point name *OBAMA* said he worked 24hours!
When I arrived there! He was fast asleep! I woke him and got my batteries in exchange for a new battery to be charged!
I guess* obama charging service point* and I will have a 3 weeks relationship!

The room started getting awake at 3am!
.............*Bathing tins*..............

5:30am....soldiers were whistling and shouting to move to parade ground!

Those of us who had not gotten our NYSC kits went to multipurpose hall instead to conclude our registration were also chased down to the parade ground!
*White fowls*.....someone beside me chorused as we* jog-walked* down to the parade ground!
It was a beautiful sight seeing a lot of people already on white walking down to the parade ground!... *white fowl huh?

At 6am,keffi!, it was bright as like around 10am in lagos! Not because some people were white fowls...it was the brightness of the time that amazed me!
Blah blah blah
We sang the national anthem like true patriotic nigerian and said the pledge!
We were taught the NYSC anthem later on!

The exercise routine was a joke!...we were separated from those wearing white!
The soldiers made us do push-up on bare floor!

After endless waiting on the arrival of platoon three officer! I finally got my kits and everything was over size!...
I have also become one of the *white fowls*
After like 400metres of double up...my pouch needed adjustment!
Staring away at the activity of the parade!

I found out the meaning of *wawa! yazo!* today from some guys that I met yesterday....(angus and his friend-grad of FUT-MINNA).

Wawa means MUMU
Yaso mean don come
Wawa yazo mean *mumu don come! *

So apparently what were were asked to say yesterday at arrival was that...
Mumu done come!
My interpretation was far-fetched for from the truth!

I had to slim fit my khaki,it was like a sack!...my jungle booth and tennis were the perfect size of a giant!

I tried to exchange with another person at each platoon but apparently they either all had even bigger size or have already exchanged with someone else

...my leg would surely swim in those boots tomorrow...

Everyone in camp is preparing for tomorrow.....
Light out by 10:30pm today....
Soldiers have warned us off moment after that time.....
Dinner was porridge.....

I would get my khaki tomorrow at the guy who irons early tomorrow morning before the ceremony

The rain had gotten at me!.....
Sleep is sure to come by today or else we are both setting ourselves for trouble tomorrow...i mean sleep and i....
